In 1971 Dick Allen organized a small group of friends and family to ride from Lansing to Mackinaw City. That same year Carolyn Sutherland purchased the Good Hart General Store which happened to be along Dick's route north. The rest is history and here we are once again! We're looking forward to welcoming another group of DALMAC - Dick Allen Lansing to MACkinaw bike ride riders this coming Sunday! Ride safe like Dick wanted and arrive hungry like Carolyn wants. There's a new view along 119. The original area of collapse just south of Stutsmanville Road along the Tunnel of Trees M-119 reopened today (9/3) with a whole new look. Where there was spring devastation, there's now beauty and through darkness, the sun shines brightly. Since April 10, non residents have been detoured around this particular area of 119. Barricades and signage came down today and the the road is now open between Harbor Springs and Stutsmanville Road for all motorists and travelers.
